Stephen “Zak” Zaksewicz

I graduated from Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. My undergraduate years were spent not just studying but also volunteering in the community. I had the rare honor of working with the esteemed Governors Grasso and O’Neil in Connecticut as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for two years. This provided a solid foundation for my tax knowledge.

Since 1977, I’ve been engaged in tax preparation, constantly expanding my tax expertise in the 1970s and 1980s and continuing to this day. My extensive experience spans across states such as New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and the entire New England region, along with here in Florida.

Aside from Taxation, I’ve worked as a captive agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance before becoming an independent agent for my own company. I became licensed by the State of Connecticut to sell life and health insurance. In addition, I obtained Connecticut claims appraiser licenses, representing numerous famous insurance firms and processing claims.

I’ve had the privilege of working for Edward J. Sodlosky, CPA in Naugatuck, Connecticut, throughout my career preparing returns throughout New England. Our collaboration is still ongoing for my benefit and the benefit of all my clients.

Trust in Zaks Taxes not only because of my extensive experience, but also because of a legacy that values your financial well-being and a simple understanding of complex tax laws.
